Dedicated to the memory of Nigel Malcolm

What can I tell you about my Dad?  He was the gentlest, most generous man you could meet.  He knew the tone of voice that I would use on the phone if I needed something, and wouldn't think twice about stopping whatever he was doing and jumping in the car.

When I was a teenager he spent most of his evenings and weekends driving me to concerts and rehearsals, and my friends and I would dread the speed of his driving – I think he felt invincible in a car (compared to having severe asthma as a child).

We were incredibly lucky to have him in our lives and miss him everyday - I have a photo of him on my desk at home and often have a little chat with him.

Dad must have been exposed to asbestos at some point in the 1970's but for the life of us we don't know where.  I know we weren't able to help him, but I hope that setting up this fund to raise money for others with mesothelioma might mean other families don't have to miss people.
